Trump also exposed how disastrous many modern progressive policies truly are. Their social policies are often as destructive as the neoconservative foreign policy disasters that hollowed out the American middle class through endless wars. If Americans could put the architects of ideological public schools, corrupt NGO systems, race-based admissions policies, activist teachers’ unions, and proponents of our endless foreign wars into a space capsule together, there would probably be a line stretching for miles to push the launch button.
But this leads to perhaps the greatest of all of Donald Trump’s achievements. Trump is so divisive, so abrasive, so bombastic that he forced it all out into the open. He demolished the myth that there are no communists or revolutionary ideologues among us. One of the biggest mistakes of modern conservatives has been to assume that since the old Left stopped carrying red banners and quoting Lenin openly, it abandoned its objectives. It never abandoned anything. The tactics changed. They realized after the fall of the massive shithole known as the Soviet Union the violent proletarian revolution was not going to succeed in the west.
