It was Socrates who purportedly said that a fool is not the ignorant man, but the one who believes he knows what he does not know. It is the mark of America’s educated elite that they are not unintelligent, but they believe their illusions with fierce conviction. These illusions are distributed throughout every college curriculum in every elite college in the United States. Our fools are highly credentialed graduates of Harvard’s Kennedy School, Princeton’s School of Public Policy and International Affairs, the Yale Jackson Institute, Columbia, Georgetown, Stanford and even the few lucky fools who study at the London School of Economics.
